  For Boston, for Boston,
  We sing our proud refrain!

  For Boston, for Boston,
  'Tis widsom's earthly fane.

For here all are one, and
  their hearts are true, and
  The towers on the Heights
  reach to Heaven's own blue.

  For Boston, For Boston,
  Till the echoes ring again!

BC Hockey Alums Come Back to "Haunt Boston"

A pair of Boston College hockey legends, former teammates Brian Gionta and Scott Clemmensen, haunted the Boston Bruins last night, lifting the New Jersey Devils to a thrilling shootout victory. Gionta, second on the Devils in scoring, netted the deciding shootout goal, while Clemmensen delivered the clinching save. As reported by the Boston Globe:
Gionta and Clemmensen were ... the heart and soul of a team that competed for the national championship each spring and finally cashed in that memorable April night in 2001 in Albany, N.Y.
The victory marked Clemmensen's first victory in the the building since he led BC over Boston University in the 2001 Hockey East Tournament championship, and was perhaps the most memorable Gionta-Clemmensen moment since Gionta "shook his head in bewilderment" at Clemm the night Gionta scored an unfathomable five goals in a single period.

Chuck Kobasew, another member of the 2001 National Championship team and now a star with the NHL's Calgary Flames, recently sat down for a one-on-one with the Calgary Sun. Kobasew listed the 2001 year, when the BC team won every possible tournament and championship, as one of the best years of his life.
