  For Boston, for Boston,
  We sing our proud refrain!

  For Boston, for Boston,
  'Tis widsom's earthly fane.

For here all are one, and
  their hearts are true, and
  The towers on the Heights
  reach to Heaven's own blue.

  For Boston, For Boston,
  Till the echoes ring again!

Boston College Soccer

Why are you reading this now?

There's a huge ACC matchup versus new rival Duke over on the Newton Campus right now. From bceagles.com:
The Boston College men's and women's soccer teams will meet the Duke Blue Devils in key ACC matchups for both teams at Newton Campus Field on Friday evening. The women will start at 4 p.m and the men will follow at 7 p.m.
Don't forget to bring a transistor radio to the men's game so you can hear the Sox tonight.

If you can't make it, at least read up on the two teams, and click over to ESPN.com's recent article featuring BC sophomore Charlie Davies' decision to play college ball. Let's hope Davies is back in the lineup after sustaining a torn meniscus on his right knee in time for the ACC tournament this year.

And don't forget to make it out to Newton when the Women welcome UNC on October 13th. Put it on your Outlook calendar. Now.

UPDATE: The bad news: The men's team lost, 3-0.

The good news: (1) The women won, 1-0. (2) The crowd for the men's game, which competed with the Sox-Yankees on TV mind you, was described as "prodigious." (3) The Sox won.
